DIED ASTORI CALLED CONTE AS TRAGEDY
The death of Davide Astori was suddenly called Chelsea
manager Antonio Conte as a tragedy. The reason, Fiorentina's captain died at a
relatively young age.
"He's fantastic, I'm with him, it's a tough moment
to talk about this tragedy, he's a great player and a great guy," Conte
said as quoted by Football Italia.
The 31-year-old defender was found dead several hours
before the match against Udinese in the hotel room. Previously the players
already feel suspicious because the holder of 14 caps with the Italian national
team is known not to appear at breakfast.
Not yet known the cause of death because it will still be
autopsy. Conte knew Astori while still handling Gli Azzurri, expressing his
impression on Astori, also called his death a tragedy.
"I sympathize with his family at this moment, he is
31. It is very difficult to explain the situation to his wife, his parents and
his daughter," he said.
Following Astori's death, all remaining games in week 27
were postponed until the appointed time. Now all members of the Fiorentina team
will soon return to Florence. The club itself has immediately informed the
family.
